Each AN/LSS system is equipped with a detachable wired remote control unit. Illuminated indicators identify the audio input selected and speaker status. In addition, a volume level indicator (bar graph) integrated into the remote control unit, increases operational command of the system. All indicators feature current efficient Light Emitting Diodes (LED’s) which remain illuminated for five seconds after the function is selected, then self extinguish. This feature extends battery life and, at night, aids in operator concealment. |

An optional wireless remote control unit provides the operator total control of one or multiple systems up to several miles away from the amplifier and speakers. |

The 40 series systems incorporate a “break away” feature, which permits the speakers to be located separately from the electronic (distance is determined by the cable used). Both systems may also be connected with other units for coverage of large areas. The systems are equipped with radio input, so that the entire system can amplify audio transmissions from military radio. |
